Wandering the streets

I was in a beautiful state last week. Inside this beautiful state was a majestic city surrounded by high mountains on one side and smaller ones on the other side. I was in the city of Colorado Springs. Upon getting there I did what any person would do. I made my way to the best dispensary in the area. Cannabicare inc was the place to go from the Google reviews. So I made my way to the holy spot. Little did I know you cannot purchase Mary Jane recreationally in Colorado Springs. You may only purchase it with valid credentials. State ID and a valid medical card from a Colorado practice. Outside the city limits you may purchase away but inside is a no go. On my way to the dispensary I noticed a slight increase in homeless people. Rising higher and higher as I drove by. The people ranged from 18 to early 40s. I was amazed at this turn out. It was astounding to see people younger than me on the street. I didn’t know what to do. As I pulled into the parking lot a guy came up to me asking for change. I told him I don’t have no real money either. I offered to get him some food but he told me he just ate as well as people do that often. This kid was only 19 years old!!!! Why would you do this to yourself? I want to smoke Ganja whenever I want to, he replied. Really?! Yep, I’m my own boss, I have a place to sleep, I can smoke whenever, life is good. After that he walked away content. I met with other wanderers at different places I visited in Colorado. It is crazy to me! I could never do that! F#ck that!

Jiffy lube people

I’m in the waiting room getting my oil changed. I sit next to a guy who is bumming it like me. Sweats, a hoodie, shoes not all the way on, aka bun gear. So im chilling, I’m playing chess and my Guy talking to the receptionist about his car. I hear his island accent and underneath that I hear a northern accent. I guessed Queens than Bronx. He is from Brooklyn! Fml! I didn’t guess right! We start talking about where im from. The Automatic/default response after you ask somebody where are you from is it always pointed at you. Where are you from? So we keep talking about Charlotte and the new and fun things coming here. He ready for the change but worried for the kids. He continues to say that he ain’t worried about his kids. They have Trinidad running through they veins. I laughed and that is how I started my morning today.

Denver bound

This week I’m going to Denver to do some work. I know I haven’t been doing any posting due to changing to a new apartment but I’m here. I’m working with a local Movie theater to install some stuff. Easy peasy lemon squeasy. I look forward to trying to enjoy the sights while I’m out here.

03/12/17 Charlotte snow storm

Waking up after a great night out with friends is not hard for me or any of our friends. Getting up early is a different ordeal. Luckily I didn’t drink last night before going bowling. I passed out around 3:30 and woke up today at 8am. 41/2 hrs of sleep. Decent enough right? I head to grab my mom and she takes me to the airport. Note that it was snowing last night and we live in Charlotte NC. So driving this morning was a breeze to the airport. Nobody dared to drive due to the “storm”. So we were making our way downtown, moving fast, super dead-ass and I checked in. Note again that the snow on the ground was not even an inch. I get into my seat by my gate and start the waiting game. 30 minutes before our departure and no announcement. So time Starts flying by 10:45am turns to 11:45am, then 12pm to 12:15pm. While sitting I started to hear chatters that got lost in transmission. People were changing original stories to crazy ass stories. Around noon, people started to ask pilots after the counter service couldn’t give us answers. Apparently all of the outbound planes were frozen over. They did not have the technology to defrost the bad boys. So we were waiting on planes to get defrosted. So that message got lost in translation immediately after the 6th person. Like a child’s game of telephone. I had fun watching the reactions from what they thought the reasons were for our late departures. At one point it got to there was a body found

Person of the week

This is a new exciting person for my blog! Get ready for my next contender!

NOW!

Introduce yourself to the blog dude!

Hi, my name is Giovanni Alejandro Abad, 22 years old, turning 23 august 22nd.

How was your day today? Other than putting up with idiotic people not so bad. What is your job? Varies. Welding, security (alarm audio visual), painting, and construction. What are hobbies, drawing, building PC, wood carving, metal carving, ceramics. So you’re very artsy? Since childhood. Tattoo are a medium for art. Can we talk a little more aboit your ink? Yeah man. How many tattoo do you have? 4 in total but ones a cover up. Can we show our viewers what I see? Go for it Dude.

Ok the 1st tattoo was a yin and yang koi fish. Black and white swimming in the traditional opposing circle. I got it in highschool. It was during my rebel phase. Just doing stupid shit and being me

Look for the koi fish

My 2nd tattoo is my happy tat. I was in love with the pic since the moment I saw it. Everytime I see it something is sparked in me and I feel happiness. It literally created the emotion and the feeling of happiness.

3rd tattoo, the cover up. When did you get it? About 5 months ago. Represents a Leo with rasta tendencies. The tattoo covers the koi fish. I am more than just a human. I am me.

4th tattoo, koi fish v2 (good vibes) this koi fish tattoo is more of what i wanted. The yin and yang was done well in this piece. This is THE redo tattoo for the original koi fishes. I wanted it more detailed. The original was too simple. I got haters so to shut the haters down I got the lower calf tattoo.

Here are some more questions:

What do you wanna be when you grow up? Haven’t figured it out yet. Too many outlets not enough time.

Is there a place you want to go? New Zealand. Why? Too chill. No problems super chill.

Do you have somebody you’d die for? My mom. But Yeah of course and if I can add another person to the question I would die for my niece Juliana who has Down syndrome and has had open heart surgery as a baby.

California round two

I traveled to the calm, warm, and civilized west coast this past week. This is my second time being out here. The first was 2 years ago the 23rd and 24th of December. Being out was a truly wonderful experience. The people I met out here were all pretty cool, places were all new, and the state itself was so unique.

During my duration in Cali, I have started a new segment with this blog called person of the day. I am considering doing person of the week instead. That would 52 people vs 365 too any interviews. I encountered the normal amount of people I usually encounter when I travel. That number varies depending on my stay. Ranging from 10 people daily to about 60 in an average business week. One of the people I met was Briana Sanders in the Dallas love airport. She was my first person on the new segment. She was very open about everything. Very down to earth, easy going, cute, and also cool as hell. Those are some of the factors and traits I like when I interview people. During her interview I tried to establish a guideline for questions but failed to do so. She was a free spirit doing her own thing when she wanted, living by the creed of Humans. People like Briana live life to the fullest and eventually reach what they are after.

We do the things we have to

so we can do the things we want to do

Terrel Thomas was the second person who allowed me to interview him. I met him on our job site and he shared the same charismatic traits as Briana. Which allowed him to open up a lot easier than other potential candidates. Terrel who was very similar to Briana was also trying to be successful in life. Wanting to further his schooling in his field of work. The two of them make me want to strive to do better for myself. They make me want to have a goal, a vision, or a dream.

While traveling around we traveled through other cities but made stops in some cool places.

Palm Springs was one of the first places we went to to grab supplies. A desert city.

Riding through the mountains from Yucca Valley to Palm Springs was surreal to. Living on the east coast, I don’t see mountains covered in sand or dry earth often. So you know I had to take pics.

All of southern Cali was cool. Especially the people in these desert cities. Yucca Valley was okay but small, Palm Springs was small but a beauty.

Compton was nothing how I thought and heard it would be. Being so close to LA, it is hard to believe that the city is low key beautiful. The area gives off a sense of poverty or hard times but the parks, the restaurants, and the people are built sturdy. I was not expecting all the black people I saw. Ridiculous how many black people I saw out there. I liked seeing so many black faces in the area. Also in recent years to decades more minorities have been coming in to the area which boost those numbers way waaay up.

Here is one pic I like.

I don’t know if it is a church, holy ground, or what. But it was Huge (Donald Trump voice).

My trip was long and sweet. It was cool and I had warm fun in Cali in February!

Person of the Day Terrell Thomas

So today I had the pleasure of interviewing Terrell Thomas.

His occupation is a low voltage field technician. So other facts about his job is he just got into this over a year ago. His cousin helped put him on to the trade.

Here are my questions:

  • How was your day? A rough one. A lot of work to be done today. We got 12 cameras and they will not be easy.
  • What is making today so rough? To put literal,  the trust needed with working with others is hard. Can you elaborate? Yeah, it is hard cause they are not you, so you don’t know what they did unless you check. Too much back and forth.
  • Do you like your job? Yeah I actually do. It is right up my alley. For a long time I did customers service , retail, tried the  food industry, and worked at the old spaghetti factory. Lead busser at Spaghetti factory.

Its funny how life is. Growing up my people would say my father was a jack of all trades master of none. Coincidentally I grew up to be just like him. Life is funny like that.

  • Do you wanna leave this trade? Nah, I Kind of want to stick with the field tech and see where I go. I like it and want to stick with it.

So we get talking about his OG benefactor who put him on. How Terrell cousin started doing it first and then put him on. But lately, his cousin who has been expanding at am alarming rate. His cousin just bought a fleets of vans, hired on 8 or 9 techs, and is taking on multitudes of calls and jobs. Starting as a one man show transforming into this big shot running things. His benefactor is coming up quick in the game in Cali. Which Terrell is proud of.

Chit chatting about michigan, he told me a lil about his Grandma on his dad side. Her size is 5 even and she from Canada. Now im thinking my people short to from michigan. Is that a region thing? Anywho, they moved to the upper Peninsula of Michigan in the early years of Terrell’s fathers life and around the Father’s 10th bday mover to California. His father was 5.5  and mother in a close range. But ya boi Terrel is 5.11 and 3/4.

Getting back the real question:

  • What do you wanna be when you grow up? “A success” (he told me to quote it).
  • Who is/was your role model in life? Emmitt Smith is my guy,  but my mom is the one who every one depends on. I can relate. My Homies say the same about me. How I Look out for the homies.
  • Who did you try to be like when you were younger? P Diddy and mase. Before Mase left and mase when he was in welcome back. ~welcome back!
  • Who do you strive to be like?  Be like his cousin. Make money, live a successful life, lead my people.
  • What are some of your personal goals in life? Save more money.
  • How can you help your community or people? I need to be a success, I can take care of mines when I become successful, I could make some changes especially if I had the money.
  • What is your favorite drink? I feel cold ass coke.
  • Alcoholic drinks? Good beer, Guinness on tap. Nothing taste better than a Guinness on tap.
  • Favorite Food? Spaghetti by Madre. Meat sauce and mushrooms. I probably make the best spaghetti.

  • What would you tell the past you 10 years ago? Wish I knew about trade schools in highschool, get a trade, have a game plan. Wish a trade was in my future and I could do it . Hard work. Good money.
  • Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Comfortable with what I need. Not working hard, not ashy and dirty and shit. Nice Suit with a power tie running shit.

Did you enjoy the interview? Yeah that shit was hard.

Your favorite saying?  All of these.

Yo Terrell was cool ass dude. Constantly trying to move forward in life instead of wasting away. He wants to be something rather than just exist. Lastly, he supports the people he loves not because he has to but because he wants to. He is truly an interesting person.

    Waffle house

There is a woman named ms. Julie. She has the dirtiest jokes here in Atlanta at a GD waffle house. She was dropping joke after joke. She was this little old lady with such a potty mouth. We were in love with this woman. If I could I would call her everyday for a new joke. Had to hear at least 7 jokes. She did not run out of jokes nor did she have repetitive shit. A savage amongst savages.

Come see her here and ask for Ms. Julie the Lady with the Jokes😂😂😂😂
